Loughborough Lightning Director of Rugby, Rhys Edwards says, “The Girls Rugby Club has developed an impressive framework to develop up and coming young female rugby players and one that will provide huge benefit to us as a club. We’re confident that our relationship with the Girls Rugby Club will further strengthen our position within the Allianz Premier 15s and help us to add depth to our talent pathway.”View this post on Instagram
Girls Rugby Club founder Rachael Burford says, “We’ve always been committed to providing opportunities for young girls playing rugby and part of that is about plugging the gaps in the talent pathway and connecting the dots from grassroots through to the elite level. Our work with Loughborough Lightning is an example of how we can support clubs with their talent identification and development and ensure women’s rugby has a promising future. We remain club agnostic and open to providing the same support in regions throughout the UK.”Congratulations to our 🌟 player @EmilyScarratt on her MBE.
