Girls Rugby Club and LooseHeadz Developing The Game Together

Girls Rugby Club and LooseHeadz commit to improving access to rugby through innovative new partnership.

LooseHeadz is today delighted to announce a long-term partnership with Girls Rugby Club as part of their commitment to help improve access to the game as part of their mission to #TackleTheStigma.

Through this innovative new partnership, LooseHeadz will be using their presence within rugby, including a number of ambassadors to help grow the women’s game, and support Girls Rugby Club in their mission to harness the power of rugby to develop extraordinary females.

The partnership will also see Girls Rugby Club supporting LooseHeadz mission to place a mental health lead into every rugby club across the globe, including Girls Rugby Club having their own designated ‘LooseHead’.

Alongside the wider goals, there are also plans for a joint webinar which will tackle a number of the key issues across the game, including increasing participation within rugby, and how to improve players mental wellbeing.

Rachael Burford, founder of Girls Rugby Club, said “We’re thrilled to be working with LooseHeadz who are at the forefront of tackling the stigma around mental health. This is a hugely important topic, and we know from talking to GRC members that more can be done to provide support to girls in rugby. We hope that this partnership can help to open up further conversation within Girls Rugby Club and the wider women’s rugby community."

Rob Shotton, Co-Founder at LooseHeadz said: “We’re excited to be associated with Girls Rugby Club. A forward-thinking organisation that is changing perceptions, opening doors, and cementing a pathway for the future. We can’t wait to get started.“
